March Quarter Mining Finance Dashboard

We’ve updated our Mining Finance Dashboard for the March 2025 Quarter (with data sourced up to the end of March). If you haven’t seen this dashboard before, it’s an interactive way to look at:

Mining Project Finance Masterclass

For those of you who may have missed this, we recently launched a (free) Mining Project Finance Masterclass in partnership with Naust Capital and Money Of Mine.

CFA Society Perth Presentation

If you’re going to be in Perth on the 23rd of May, come and join Patrick Leung (Naust Capital) and I for a presentation we’re giving to the CFA Society WA Chapter titled “Unlocking capital for mining project development: the role of strategic investors”. This will be followed by social drinks, so come and grab a drink with us after you attend!

Training Adventures

Over the last quarter, Jeremy (our Training / Model Review partner) has delivered modelling training courses across Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Mumbai, Hong Kong and Perth. I asked him about the highlights of his travels over the quarter, to which he responded with his two unforgettable experiences:

• Taking a ferry and exploring the Elephanta Caves in Mumbai

• Cycling along the 10km Al Hudayriyat man-made island track in Abu Dhabi

We usually deliver custom training for corporate clients rather than training to the public but here are a couple of questions for this group to gauge whether you’d have interest in a public training workshop.

Travel Wrap Up

If you’ve worked with me over the last few months, you’ll know that I’ve been travelling and working remotely across Vietnam, Japan and Korea. Thanks to the Model Answer team who managed to work around my random schedule during this period.

It’s been great to catch up with friends in the region, both old and new, and see what’s been happening across a range of commodities. Thanks to everyone who took the time to catch up! I’m back in Perth/Australia from the 19th April so drop me a line if you’d like to grab a coffee when I’m back.
